Pig Pickin'
Sunday, October 12th 2008
I'll be "Going Whole Hawg Wild" on Sunday October 12th.
Its my birthday, the weather has cooled off, I've made major additions to the pit so its time to party!
I'll provide the food, including smoked veggies, beer and soda. You bring chairs, and an appetite. If you wish to bring anything that goes "boom" and makes pretty lights for after dark, please do so!
We have a Special Guest for 2008!
The newest member of the Coyle Family, all the way from Sophia Bulgaria, "Lil' Bessie" will be on site and she'll be thirsty. Bring your cheapest rot-gut wine to feed the little gal (and heck bring great wine too if you like!).
If it rains we'll cram into the house and garage.
Invite all your friends, even if you can't make it!
We'll be SLOOOOOW cooking an 80 pound pig in a stainless-steel-lined in-ground oven with over 3 TONS of thermal mass for at least 24 hours.
The cook will start Saturday morning 10/11 around 10am and I'm aiming for around 1pm on Sunday 10/12 to eat.
Everyone is welcome anytime from Saturday morning till who knows when Sunday night.
Park on the street or the front lawn just don't hit the crape myrtles or the fancy rocks that line the front part of the driveway.

Kids are more than welcome, just beware we live on a 5 acre pond without any sort of fence.
